Born and raised in Southern California, the first question most people ask about my moving to Wisconsin in my 40’s is, “Why?!”. It was the right move at the right time; I have always been happy with the decision to make my home in Madison. In my thirteen years here, I have worked as an academic counselor with Cardinal Stritch University, a counselor with the UW’s Information Technology Academy and an adjunct instructor at Madison College.
I took a great deal of satisfaction in being an educator and a counselor for many years. As a Realtor®, I have the opportunity to work closely with people as they move toward a goal, go through a transition, or follow a dream. My satisfaction and success comes from building relationships, empathic understanding of people’s ideas and concerns, and advocating for clients. All of this demands consistent communication, staying current with market trends, and embracing a lifelong learning philosophy.
As I worked to meet my real estate education and licensing requirements, it became more evident that I’d made an excellent choice. The icing on the cake was aligning with Jean and Matt Armendariz-Kerr at Mode Realty Network. In their brokerage, I found shared values, intensive training, and invaluable mentorship, all with healthy servings of kindness and humor (my favorites).
Jim, a Madison native, and I moved into our 90+ year old home in the Greenbush neighborhood, within earshot of Henry Vilas Zoo, in 2005. When I’m not busy helping you meet your real estate needs, I’m likely immersed in household projects, gardening, or playing the drums. Outside of the house, I stay active in the community, dance at as many festivals as possible, and relish long road trips. I look forward to hearing what you are looking for in a dwelling and would be delighted to help you find your just right situation.
